What does TechnoGumbo mean to me?

The "Techno" stands for technology. Although a "gumbo" is basically a southern United States soup dish, I like to think of the word "gumbo" in the context of a varying mix. Therefore I intend TechnoGumbo to mean a broad mix of technology. Due to this broad mix, there have been many recent innovations stemming from a mix of technology and people with varying backgrounds spread throughout the world. To name a few; crowdsourcing, social media, MMORPG, RepRap, Wikipedia.....etc. The fact is that each person makes up an important part of the "gumbo".

In high school I had a video production class that I was charged with producing my own TV show. Due to my knowledge of computers and computer components, I decided that my show would focus on technology. My friend and co-host Nathan, devised the name Techno Gumbo. The show ended up being decently boring but the required 20min episode was finished. However, as I have written articles on Tehcno Gumbo for the past several years, the meaning of the name has not changed and neither has my passion for design, science, and technology.
